This is a little "off the subject," but seemed to be the best way to get a response.I am a researcher in Rutherford Co. currently working on the Youree Family.
Francis Youree, Sr. B: Abt 1750, owned 2,500 acres of land on the 1809 tax rolls. The land is located in the NC Military Reservation.I do not find a land grant for Francis or any Youree.Francis would have been the right age to have fought in the Revolution.
NC set aside the Military Reservation around 1783 for the soliders that fought in the NCCL.
Do you know anything about the Youree's and the Revolution?
