Wilhelm Christoph Zabel...Reinold Zabel

Looking for information on the Zabel family.When my family migrated to Canada we changed our last name to Cabel.My grandfather was Reinold Zabel(b.1929 Poland).His parents were Adolph Zabel(died by assassination during WW2 because he was German) and Wanda Schuffler.
I am wondering how these two might somehow be related (Reinold Zabel and Wilhelm Zabel)
