Elizabeth (Garhart/Gerhardt) ZAHM did not die 21 Apr 1842 or 1847! She was with Nicholas in the 1850 census. The death/burial record was a poorly typed listing found at the catholicrecordsociety.org as 1842 and has been repeated over and over. I propose she probably died in 1852 and the year 1842 was a typographical error.

so....Nicholas returned to Perry County, Ohio and died in 1874. I posted this information to prove that his wife Elizabeth was still alive in 1850....Agreed???
