Kevin: My mother, Evelyn Zahm Doyle, is a first cousin to Cyril Zahm. Mom is 91 and "sharp as a tack."She remembers Cyril, Cy, who as a child, lived next door to her on Normal Ave. in Bufflo. Cy was one of 4 children of Dr. Daniel Francis Aloysius Zahm, DDS. Cy's siblings were: John, who died as an infant, Daniel F.,Jr, who lives on Harlem Rd. in Snyder NY--a suburb of Bflo, and Eileen, who is deceased. Cy's wife worked at Buffalo Savings Bank, and they lived on California Dr. In Williamsville, NY-another suburb of Bflo. I have dates, etc. for that branch of the family, if you are interested; and do not have information. Cy did not have a brother Ray, but my mother did. My mother's branch of Zahms were all Buffalo firemen: my grandfather, Robert Sr., was a Deputy Commissioner in the 1940's. His 3 sons: Robert Jr., Raymond, and Paul were firemen. Raymond was killed in a fire in 1929, at the age of 24. I hope this information is of some help to you. I'll be happy to share my "Krumholz" line information with you, and I would be interested in your information, too.We lived in the Charlottesville, VA area. Looking forward to hearing from you.
