I could be wrong, but John Benjamin Zeliff may be the same John who died, it appears, in 1818 in Elizabeth Town, NJ. I located this add (below) while searching old news papers. In the same newspaper they have Mary Zeliff's marriage anouncement to Richard Woodruff on Nov. 16, 1817 by the Rev. John McDowell in Elizabeth Town, NJ. I am going to assume that Daniel is his son. Not sure where to locate wills, but if this is him then he would have died in Elizabeth where he had a farm. His farm boardered the Woodruff's. Anyway, I am assuming that John is the same person as John Benjamin Zeluff but I could be wrong. If they are the same person, then his wife seems to have died before he did?
John Benjamin Zeluff was the brother of my Solomon Zeluff, whose daughther Mary married Paul Latourette. I obtained Paul's War of 1812 pension records. Mary states she has her family bible and names her parents, her birth date, as well as names all her children and their birthdates. A real gold mine for me!
As you know, Elizabeth is just across the straight from Staten Island - and my Zeluff's resided within sight of Elizabeth on the North Western part of Staten Island.
This add was placed April 28, 1818 in the New Jersey Journal:
Will be Sold at Public Vendue,

Vendue to begin at one o'clock afternoon, when conditions will be made known by Daniel Zeluff, Executor. Mary Woodruff, Executrix Eliz. Town, April 28, 1818
*This confirms that Mary is his daughter, and I am going to assume that Daniel is his son - however, he could be his brother.
