My husband's mother's family was from Stupno Bohemia.Charles Zeman Sr. was born in 1858 and died in 1941. He married Anna Capek (b. 1866, d. 1942).The family came to the U.S. around 1907. They sailed from Bremen, Germany on the ship Breslau, and arrived in the port of Baltimore, MD.They had five sons (Joseph b. 18 Mar. 1890, d. 1918; James b. 21 Dec. 1891, d. 1918; Charles Jr. b. 12 Nov, 1893, d. 7 Sept. 1918, Edward, b. 21 Feb. 1900, and Andrew, b. 21 Mar. 1896) and two daughters, Johanna (b. 1887, d. 1964; and name unknown).Johanna married Joseph Ocasek (b. 1880, d. 1951).James married Anna Bertha Kosar in Oct. 1914.James was the father of my husband's mother.Charles Jr. died during the First World War (111th Field Artillery) in France.I have been unable to locate his grave in either France or the U. S. Any information on this family would be appreciated.
