BOSSIER CITY, LA - James "Jim" Zepp, 68, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009, in Bossier City, LA. Jim was born April 14, 1941, to Almira and James Zepp, Sr. in Woodstock, MD. Jim loved the outdoors, and especially loved to go hunting with his son Dylan. Jim loved to watch Nascar. Jim served in the United States Air Force for 22 years until his retirement in 1983, when he then went to work for the US Postal Service for 26 years.
Funeral Service for James Zepp will be held, Thursday, October 22, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel , with interment to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Bro. Billy Pierce will be officiating the service. Visitations will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009, from 5 until 8 p.m.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Almira and James Zepp, Sr., sister, Lee Ann Hill, brother, Donnie Zepp, and father-in-law Randal Bennish. Jim is survived by his wife of 30 years, Deborah Bennish Zepp; mother-in-law, Darlene Bennish; son; James Zepp III and wife Elizabeth, son, Scott Irelan and wife Susie, daughter, Kristi Yarbrough and husband Shane, daughter, Tami Ardoin, son, Dylan Ardoin, and daughter, Ourania Mitchell and husband Karl; 11 grandchildren; sisters Katherine Crowder and Jody Pendergraft; and numerous nieces and nephews.
