I think I must have missed this post. Would whoever sent it please contact
me? I would like to exchange data if we haven't done so already.

Henry Zevely asked for infant baptism of a child by the Moravians in 1764,
so I would assume from this that he was not a member of the Church of the
Brethren. One son, Vanniman Zevely, joined the Moravians as a youth, and
remained in the Forsyth county area. He has many descendants.
For what it's worth, here's a summary of what I have on this family:
Henry Zevely/Zevily/Zoblei was born in 1730 in Zurich, Switzerland, and
immigrated in 1748 on the ship Patience. He married Mary Eleanor (Polly)
ENOCHS, daughter of John ENOCHS and Margaret VAN IMMEN in 1762 in Rowan
County NC.
Records of the Moravians in NC 1:289. July 25, 1764, Bethabara.
"Yesterday a Swiss by the name of Civili came from Bryand's Settlement with
his wife and little daughter. He asked earnestly for the baptism of the
child, and as they are known to be worthy people this was granted... The
child received the name Margaret."
Henry and Polly moved to South Carolina by 1780, where both died in 1794.
However, some of their children returned to NC:
Margaret ZEVELY (1764-1845) married Michael BEARD, son of Johann Ludwig
BARTH & Christiana SNAPP, 1 Sep 1787 in Rowan Co. NC. Their children were
marrying in Rowan County in the early 1800s.
John Henry ZEVELY (1765-?) married Permelia PENDLETON (ca. 1797-ca.1856).
John Henry probably died before 1830. I have names for six children but no
information on what happened to them.
Susannah ZEVELY (b. 8 Jul 1768, d. before 1812), married David MILLER, son
of George MILLER & Glory LITSLER, 1790 in Rowan Co. NC. They had six
children, at least three of whom died in childhood. One daughter, Sarah
Miller Reynolds, moved to Virginia. I don't know what happened to the
other two.
Vaniman ZEVELY was born 13 Nov 1780 in Tiger River SC, and died 10 May
1863. He came to Salem as an apprentice to Br. Wohlfahrt, the
cabinet-maker, in 1797. The Moravian records (6:2591) state that before
her death his mother requested that he be brought to the Moravians, and
that Isaac ENOCHS, his uncle, was his guardian. Also "both his parents are
dead, but he has brothers and sisters living on Abbotts Creek, who will be
glad to have him stay here."
Vaniman Zevely's first wife was Johanna Sophia SCHOBER, daughter of Johann
Gottlieb SCHOBER & Maria Magdalena TRANSOU. She died in 1821, leaving six
children, two of whom died young. His second wife was Anna Rebecca HOLDER
(1785-1825), daughter of Charles HOLDER & Johanna Elisabeth ESCHENBACH.
(Anna Rebecca is the sister of my gg-grandfather John HOLDER, hence my
interest in this family.) Anna Rebecca had no children in her brief
marriage. Vanniman's third wife was Susanna Elisabeth PETER (1786-1873),
who so far as I know did not have children either.
Catherine ZEVELY. I have no further information on her; possibly died in
childhood?
Esther ZEVELY (ca. 1783-ca. 1857) married Andrew LOPP (1780-1833). They
were the parents of ten children.
Alexander Martin ZEVELY b. ca. 1786, married Rebecca Elizabeth WEST (ca.
1798-ca. 1825), moved to Missouri about 1818. They had at least three
children.
James Alexander ZEVELY b. ca. 1789 also moved to Missouri, m. Jane Ross
LANKIN (1813-1854), presumably in Missouri; had at least seven children.
