Hi Jennifer, I am from Germany and my line originally comes from Eschwege in Germany. I've got a family-chronicle that goes back to the first father of all in 1500. In March 2001 I found KC Zeuch in San Diego. He's from my line and I visited him in September. Last weekend (12.07.-09.2001) his brother Michael visited me and my sister Uschi in Steinfurt. To figure out if your line is from Eschwege or the area around it, too, I need of your great grandfather his given name (perhaps he had more than one), date of birth (if you know), town of birth (if you know), town of arrival in the US (perhaps it was that little island in New York).
