1. I am searching for information on Johann Nicholas Zoll who immigrated to the US on the ship named "Loyal Judith" on the 25th of November in 1740, which came from Rotterdam to Deal, England, and then on to Pennsylvania.
Johann possibly had three known brothers, Melchior, Daniel and Anthony. It is said by some researchers that there may have been a fourth brother, Peter. But nothing has been found on him. Johann may have come over first in 1740, and his brothers may have followed at a later date.
One brother, Anthony Solt was b. 1725 and married in PA on the 7th of May in 1750 to Eva Magdalena Aegener b. 1731. They had one known daughter who was named in Anthony's will, Rosannah (but may have had more children -possibly a son named, Henry). It is thought that soon after Anthony and Eva were married, around 1750, they migrated down to Rowan County, NC. Anthony Salts died there and his will names his wife, Eva and one daughter.
There is also a man named Henry Salts who is in and around the same area of Rowan Co., NC. - but is a generation later. He may be connected to the Anthony and Eva Aegener Solt / Salts or possibly a nephew.
2. I also have a Heinrich Zoll who immigrated to the States in the year 1749. He came over on the ship "Edinburg" from Rotterdam, to Portsmouth, England, then on to Pennsylvania. He arrived and/or was qualified on the 15th of September in 1749. He also took the Oath of Allegiance. His name has been recorded as Zoll, Zell, Sell, etc.
If you have any more information on any of these early Zoll people who immigrated into the Pennsylvania area between 1740 to 1749, or know of any documents identifying the connection between Heirich Zoll of PA, Anthony Solt / Salt of Rowan Co., NC and Henry Salts of Rowan Co., NC and Washington Co., TN please get in touch. I would be happy to hear from any Zoll researchers on this line.
