|I am researching the Abernathy Family from Missouri. Not much is known about that side of the family, since Edgar Maurice Abernathy, my husband's father, passed away when he was only fifteen years old and never knew his grandparents. Edgar married Elfrieda Charlotte Promnitz, who was born in Berlin, Germany and came to American as a young adult. This research is a real challenge and very time consuming.|
In addition, I'm researching my side, The Ruano Family. My grandfather, Jose Ruano, was born in Spain. I am told that Jose met Erma Canete, my grandmother, in Hawaii on his way to the states with his parents, Erma was born in Hawaii but her parents are also from Spain. They were married in the early 1920's and eventually had eight sons and four daughters between the years of 1926 to 1947.
My father, Michael Ruano, born in Sunnyvale, California, married Patricia Jean Crane, born in Eminence, Missouri and the daughter of Glenna Pauline Fry and Ernest W. Crane.
Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to share any information I have already gathered. A special thank you to one of my cousins I have met during this research, Barbara Crane Shearman in Oklahoma, USA.She had put many puzzles together for me on the Crane ancesters and allowed me to merge our GED files. Thank you Barbara, keep up the good work.
