Lyndon Adams' Ottawa Valley Family Tree:Information about Benjamin Joseph Adams
Benjamin Joseph Adams (b. December 1, 1870, d. January 28, 1944)
Notes for Benjamin Joseph Adams:
My father Henry Adams related a story about his grandfather Benjamin. My Dad's brother George, who was ten years older, took my Dad for a canoe ride in the 10 foot birch bark canoe. Henry was Benjamin's favourite and didn't like him in the canoe. So the next day he sawed the canoe in half. Unfortunately this didn't stop George who took his brother Henry for another ride, but in half the canoe this time, with Henry perched up in the front end, tilted out of the water. The next day the canoe was burnt to ashes. No more canoe rides.
Died of heart failure. Buried in Wylie Township
