Levi Todd (b. October 4, 1756, d. September 6, 1807)
Levi Todd (son of David Todd and Hannah Owen)463 was born October 4, 1756 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvavia463, and died September 6, 1807 in Lexington, Kentucky.He married (1) Jane "Betsy" Briggs on February 25, 1779, daughter of Samuel Biggs and Sarah Logan.He married (2) Jane Holmes-Tatum on Abt. 1803. Notes for Levi Todd: Educated in Virginia with elder brothers. Levi studied law,became a surveyor & moved to Kentucky in 1776. he was an officer under George Rogers Clark & Rose to the rank of major-general. he was one of the pioneer settlers of Kentucky Living at Fort Harrodsburg, Logan's Fort & Todd's station. He became one of the first lot owners in the newly found town of Lexington, Kentucky on Dec. 26, 1781. Levi built a brick residence outside the city limits of Lexington on Boonesboro Rd. he named his home "Ellerslie" after the Todd ancestral home in Scotland. As a member of the military he eventually earned the rank of General.
