|The first Albert that is listed on my chart is Gabriel (Pierre) Albert who was assumed to be a fisherman from Quebec. The first official entry found in the records was of his marraige toGenevievie Bouthillier in 1751.He established himself in Caraquet NB where he is listed as one of the original founders of the village. The research started 25 years ago on my part, and just last year I was given a copy of "Les Familleies de Caraquet a Dictionnaire Genealogique" written by Fidele Theriault a historian.|
The book is well documented and researched and includes the pioneers of the parishes of Bas-Caraquet, Bertrand,Grands-Anse, Paquetville, Maissonnette, and Saint Simon.
The museum in Caraquet has the book for sale and all of its contents in their computer.Even with this information there are many gaps in the family tree which I am trying to fill.
