The Johann & Wilhelmina Family Home PageUpdated September 5, 2000 | The ancestors of this family had migrated to Russia in 1832. The area was changed to Poland.They lived in the Plock area.Some of the sons were lost in Russia in the 30's in St. Catherine Stadt across the river from Saratov. The sons were a teacher named Friedrich Gartmann, whose wife's name was Olanda Schultz,and a telegrapher named Johann Gartmann.The rest of the family migrated to the U.S. starting with Joseph and August in the 1920's.They resided in the Cleveland, Ohio area where most of them are found today. |
