|I first started doing genealogy in 1970. I remember Mother telling me I would finish.I might spend my life working on it. She was right of course, she usually was! |
Mother has been gone for over 11 months now, and in an effort to deal with her unexpected demise, and having also retire just over a year ago, I have devoted most of my time to genealogy. I have been very lucky, and have succeeded in knocking down numerous brick walls I had previously had no hope of ever getting past.

"The following is in Memory of my Mother, Modell (Crouch) Emerson who passed away, to soon, on March 17, 1999."
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on the snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
