Robert L Ammon, Pittsburgh, PA

I am doing a Genealogy study of the Ammon family. My father, Albert Ammon Sr., immigrated to this country from Lithuania in 1899 and my mother, Marie (Fromm), arrived in 1904 also from Lithuania.Both my mother and father are of German extraction and spoke only German when they arrived in the US. My mother came as an indentured servant through Ellis Island.She worked as a maid for a Doctor in Wellsville, Ohio.My father came to Pennsylvania because his brother Frank lived in McKeesport, PA.My mother had a sister Anna that also lived in McKeesport.They met at a wedding in Pittsburgh and were married shortly thereafter on the advice of the family match maker in 1910.
My major problem is tracking my ancestors in Europe.The cities or towns where my parents were born do not exist or I have incorrect information.My mother sailed from Bremen, Germany.I understand that the reords there are still in tact, however, I don't reador speak German.This is where I need Help.
