He lived his entire l;ife in Delta County, TX.According to his mothe
Frances Anderson Carrington, snow was on the ground 4 inches deep on
the day Arthur and Archie (twins) were born.Arthur attendedNormal
College (now ETSU A & M).He taught school, owned a merchantile
business, farmed, ws County Tax Assessor, Chairman or the Farmer's
CO-OP, and owned the Depot Grocery in Cooper, TX.Arthur and Belle
(known as "Daddy Pete" and "Mama Belle") took great pride in their
children.Daddy Pete often said, "We've got a housefull of
kids...our sons are handsome, our daughters are pretty and every one
of them has a mind like a steel trap".Arthur was the last
Postmaster at Mt. Joy, TX. before the post office was moved to Enloe,
TX.Matthew Skeen, Lester Carrington and Albert Skeen also served as
