User Home Pages: Whispers of Violins, My Hungarian Heritage
I have been researching my Hungarian heritage for over fifteen years. After many brickwalls were crashed through with the help and guidance of some great online resources, the first publication of my information is shown on this website. My family has an Internet success story to share. My grandfather had many siblings and we knew that he was not the only one to leave Hungary. But as to who else and where they went, there was no idea. One day my cousin's wife from Ohio called me and said that her daughter at school had received an email from someone in Canada looking for his long lost relatives from Pittsburgh!Originally, she thought it was a practical joke from her father, as the sender had the very same name. After much going back and forth comparing notes and information, we pretty much agreed that we owned each other. My cousin, his wife and I flew to British Columbia and there we met my mother's Aunt Margaret and all of her clan.We had a wonderful visit and have been hot on the heels of those other brothers that we learned had left. If you have any connections to the following surnames, please contact me!I would love to hear from you!
