I am researching my family history.There is very little known about my father's family, as they immigrated to this country from Italy. My grandfather's name is Joseph Paulmo Borelli, later he went by Joseph Paul Borelli, born August 26, 1886 in Italy. His parents names were Henry and Adeline (Sarefing) Borelli.He later lived in Pavola, Italy.It's possible he had a brother Leo, also some sisters who's names are unknown.Joseph came to the United States approximately in 1910-1911, possibly from a Port in Neese, France.He was about 24 years old at this time, possibly came with a brother, Leo, and then settled around West Frankfort, Illinois.He married Theresa Ricci on about June 10, 1913.
It is possible that Henry Borelli died, and that his mother remarried, giving him a step-brother named Arturo.Many of his family members remained in Italy, including his parents and possible some sisters and brothers.
Joseph's wife Theresa came to the United States with her family when she was a young girl.Her parents are Luigi and Ermalinda (Balestri) Ricci.Theresa's birthdate is February 18, 1896 and had 4 siblingss, Emil, Angelo, Primo and Jenny.Her family came to the United States on about December, 1903.They came on a ship named LaLouaine from a Port in France called LeHavre, landing in the Port of New York.Luigi's birthdate is February 7, 1871 in Montise, Italy.His parents names are Fredrick and Artemisia (Passini) Ricci.Ermalinda's birthdate is January 17, 1875 in Modena, Italy.Her father's name is Angelo Balestri.Her mother's name is not known.Luigi and Ermalinda married in Italy on January 24, 1893.
My family is very interested in finding out about our family. It is very likely that many of my grandfather's relatives are still in Italy.I am also looking for any information that may tell us what our family did after their arrival in the United States until the time they moved to Wisconsin. I am also willing to trade information I may have after their arrival in the United States.
