My Eastern NC AncestorsUpdated August 14, 2006 | I am researching my ancestors who go back generations in the following counties in NC:Beaufort, Hyde, Pamlico, Duplin. Please note:There are a few names misspelled (I know my g-grandmother Howerin was Nattie, not Kattie!) but the way they are listed on the public record (I.E. 1920 census) is the way they are uploaded to my internet tree.I haven't figured out how to correct it on the internet tree.FYI, I use family tree maker software if anyone is familiar with that and has suggestions. Also, when you go to internet tree it defaults to the 1st surname in the tree.Go to the left top search, then find on the dropdown menu.Everyone on the tree is listed there. GGGF Francis Asbury White born 1832 not sure where, died 1910 & buried at Oddfellow Cemetery, Belhaven, NC.His wife was GGGM Mary F. Vaughan (or Vaughn) b. 1839, death?, reportedly buried in Plymouth, NC, haven't found the grave. GGGF Frank Lilley b approx. 1850, buried reportedly Lilley Cemetery, Free Union Church Road, Beaufort Co.GGGM Ann Elizabeth Paul born Approx. 1850, buried reportedly Liley Cemetery, Free Union Church Road, Beaufort Co.Haven't located graves. That's just the beginning.Check out the page and see if you have any connections to my ancestors. If you can fill in any blanks please email me. Also included are some of my husband's ancestors, Browns of King & Queen, VA. Thanks,Julie |
