Through the efforts of my late Great-Grandmother Nettie Bigelow Winters and my Mother Jean Halvorsen Medford, we have connected to Mayflower passengers Brewster, Howland and Tilley, through Southworth lines and back to before 1000 A.D. with extensive research. We continue to experience difficulty researching Susan Danforth (d. 15 June 1855), wife of Zedekiah Winters (d. 7 June 1873) from Dutchess County, New York, to Wabash County, Illinois, and Abraham Conrad lines in the 1800's in Kentucky and Illinois, as well as Englebricht Halvorsen in Chicago, immigrating from Norway in the 1800's.Paternal side includes Ehler from Germany (where they began as Ihler), Little and Easter (Oster) from Canada. Surnames, now over 2,000 documented, include Bangs, Bigelow,Bishop, Brewster, Brown, Burnap, Carpenter, Colburn, Cooley, Coolidge, Conant, Conrad, Culbertson, Cutler, Cutter, Eames, Easter, Ehler, Fiske, Flagg, Freeman, Gorham, Gray, Hinckley, Hobart, Holbrook, Howland, Humphrey, Hunsley, Hurst, Knapp, Livermore, Low, Marsh, Pierce, Poulter, Prence, Scotto, Southworth, Sparrow, Stanton, Sturgis, Thacher, Tilley, Tibbets, Warren, Whitcomb, Willard, Wright, and more. The majority of these were located in Massachusetts--Watertown, Plymouth, Barnstable, Salisbury, Amesbury, Woburn, etc., reaching into Rhode Island and other New England areas.
