His wife, Mary Hartnett followed him 7 1/2 months later.She and her five children left Queenstown (Cobh), Cork, Munster, Ireland on 3 June 1897 and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on 9 June 1897 on board the same ship as Patrick, the White Star Line Ship, Teutonic.She gave her age as 28 and her last place of residence as Midleton, County Cork, Ireland.
Her five accompanying children were:Anne Theresa (April 24, 1887-August 16, 1935), Michael Joseph (February 25, 1889-August 10, 1967) Patrick Francis (May 28, 1891-April 8, 1969), David A. (September 9, 1983-Octobwer 4, 1984) and William John (April 11, 1897-February 22, 1983), my grandfather.
Patrick and Mary Dorgan had one other child born in Ireland, John, born December 16, 1895, who died shortly after birth. Two other children were born in Rhode Island:Timothy Joseph (June 17, 1902-April 17, 1903) and Mary Catherine (March 19, 1905-December 20, 1996).
Patrick came from Ballybraher and Mary came from Churchtown South.These are townlands of Ballycotton in County Cork in the Civil Parish of Cloyne in the Poor Law Union of Midleton in the Barony of Imokilly.
Patrick and Mary lived at various addresses in Providence and Cranston, RI.
