Captain Joseph Elliott and his wife Gertraut Schmidt lived in Columbia County, New York.I am aware of four children:Elizabeth, William, John and James.Elizbeth married Thomas Trafford.William and John migrated to Bradford County, Pennsylvania between 1798 and 1802.I have no information about James other than he moved "to the Albany area."Descendants eventually spread to Kansas, Oklahoma, Idaho, Utah and throughout the United States.I am actively seeking descendants of Joseph and Gertraut.
