Page 2 of "Sweet Memories" by Sister Evangelista, grand-daughter of Thomas Coyle, shows the following, " Grandfather's brothers were: Owen, Patrick, Alexander and Hugh."This only time, that the families of Alexander and Owen are mentioned.
We know that some of the Coyle family stayed in Rhode Island, from pictures taken in Arctic Centre, R.I., and from post cards with pictures of St. Mary's Church, Crompton, R.I. and St. James Church, of Arctic Centre, R.I.The one with the picture of St. James, is signed by your Cousin (Agnes). This appears to written about the time that St. James was built. The one with the picture of St. Mary's, is not signed. But the Writer wrote the following, "My brother Joe lives in this house", (there is a house next to the church, on that post card). This information was found the former home of Mrs. Dennis Fahey, Mary McCabe. It may have been with Monsignor J. J. McCabe belongings.
Monsignor Joseph V. Coyle also stated that he had relatives in Rhode Island. Our son and I received this information from a descendant of Nancy Coyle's daugther, Elizabeth Kane. She was a member of his parish in Jackson, MI, when Monsignor J. V. Coyle was pastor there. We were researching St. Patrick's Cemetery, around the year, 2000, when we both ended up at the Coyles' burial lots.JJF Jr.
