I began having interest in my Family Tree about 1992. Omer Feathers of Johnson City, TN, showed me his work that he began about 1920. He allowed me to borrow this info and enter it into my computer. He died in 1996. He would hane been 98 years old January 28, 2000. I admit that I have done very little actual research, but I am now beginning to get serious about this hobby. My oldest relative in my files (and this was givem to me by Omer Feathers)is John Feathers. According to Omer, John came over to Albemarle County, VA from Ireland, in 1794. I have four of his children listed, but there may be more. He had a son, John L., who came to the Northeast section of Tennessee, and one of his sons, David K. Feathers, b. 1813, was my grandfather.
