I am researching the Macky family of Carnalbanagh and Garborgle which are between Portstewart and Coleraine, Northern Ireland.Predominate given names in the Macky family were Alexander and Issac, or Issac Black Macky.Charlotte was the more frequently assigned given name to the family females.When the family emigrated to the States in the early to mid 1800's, some changed the spelling from Macky to Mackey.I have several photo copies of original records of Births, Baptisms, Marriages and Death which I made from Church, newspapers and The Public Records Office in Northern Ireland and photographs of the Macky, Leslie and Black homes.I will be happy to share all I have with anyone interested and I would like to get any additional information anyone else may have on the family.
Associated families are the Leslie's of Drumslade, the Finlay's of the Castlerock area, the Black's of Coleraine and Willson's of Ballygallon of the Parish of Ballyachrin.
