This Homepage is dedicated to my research into the Hook family of Michigan.I am researching the descendants of William Hook of England and I am attempting to locate William Hooks ancestory.I have very incomplete information and have not added my tree information to the internet, however, if you feel you have ties to the William Hook family of Michigan I will share what I do know and I hope you will do the same. This is my first attempt at creating a family tree. What I do beleive I know is that William had a son James and Daughter Eliza, They were born in the 1830's in England and they were married in Ontario, Canada.I am very interested and have been loking for information on their crossing from England to Canada. After their arrival in Canada they Married in Stoufville.James, of whom I am a direct descendant, ended up in Sanilac County, Michigan, United States. This is where my tree is easier to trace because there are a few alive relatives that remember some things about their Grandparents, Aunts, and Uncle's.I have been able to look into some things in family bibles, but accuracy is not assured and I will have to verify my sources before posting my tree.
James Married Catherine Rafferty in Canada February 20, 1855, they had one son, Thomas.James married Ruth Ellen Flynn on February 16, 1873.They had eight living children. They were all born in Sanilac County.Ruth's family also English, immigrated to Canada and then founded Flynn Township.I know somethings about their travels, from an article that was given to me by another family member.
James and Ruth's children are named Alphreda, William James, Lidia Mae, Annie, Rachel, Pearl George, Blanch, and Frank.I have information about the descendants of William James, Rachel, and Pearl George.Pearl is my great grandfather, His first daughter Ella Mae is my grandmother.
I have relatives in the other branches of my family who have researched the trees of the Howe's, Allen's and Brown's.After I have completed this research I will be looking into my husbands families.Any information will be helpful. My husband is a descendent of Nebuloni's from Italy and the Finke's of Manastee. (formerly Germany, we beleive).
