Ulysses Adam Jr. Essner (son of Ulysses Adam Sr. Essner and Roberta Myers) was born October 15, 1893 in Louiseville, Ohio probate court record, Vol. 5, Pg. 69, and died July 22, 1989 in North Canton, Ohio (died in his apt. on Huckleberry St. with Carol and Florence present).He married Florence Elizabeth McIntyre on November 03, 1928 in West Virginia, daughter of Earl Lester McIntire and Emma Lane Thress.

The house Ulysses was born in was a log cabin and Paquelet (Funeral and Furniture) built a house on the land and used one of the timbers for a mantle.
Ulysses weighed only 2lbs. at birth and was kept in a shoe box .No complications from birth and never went into the hospital until 1974 when he was diagnosed with TIA's.Next hospitalization was one week prior to his death at age 95.He probably suffered from Asthma as he always had a hacky cough.He would keep a box of 'Helps' in his shirt pocket for the cough (triangular or square little licorice flavored tablets)It was a treat to get on his lap as a child and get the one of his 'Helps'
'Uly' was very ticklish and would literally cower if you acted like you were about to tickle him.
Owned a house (family home for Sarah at kids) with his Uncle Ernest, off of Brown Ave. (past Downtown Ford on W. Tusc. behind the Maggiore's which was the old McKinley Theatre (Lowe's Theatre)
Ulysses and Florence met on a blind date set up by his cousin.
Uly walked to his job at the livery stable, probably ran by his uncle's family Rinehart and Son's, from Canton.He was afraid of horses though.
