|I am researching the FURBUSH/FURBISH family from the Eliot/Kittery Maine area.I believe that this family is the origin of all FURBUSH's in the United States. Daniel FURBISH, born about 1668, was the son of William, believed to be the first of the surname on the American continent.Family history suggests that William was a Scotch prisoner-of-war from the battle of Dunbar (1650) and was sent to America at that time.|
William's daughter, Katherine married Andrew NEAL, whose family is thought to have arrived in the same way.My grandmother was a direct descendant of Andrew and Katherine so I am also interested in that family.
I am also researching my mother's family, the Chester FAULKNOR's of Hamilton Ontario, Canada. The family came from England in the 1800's.
Any information would be appreciated.I am also willing to share the information that I have.
