The Furey and Kenney families are traced back to their roots in Ireland. Of special interest is Captain James Kenney, a Police Chief in Brooklyn at the turn of the 20th Century who was famous for fighting corruption.
The Bretz history goes back to 1540 in Germany, when the family surname was spelled Britzius. They later changed it to Bretzius by the time they immigrated to America. By the mid 1800's the name was shortened to Bretz. There is much information presented about Captain Michael Bretzius, who was a prominent citizen and officer in the Pennsylvania Militia during the Revolutionary War. The Emerich family is also traced back to the 1500's in Germany, and information about the Klein family is also presented.
