The major trees I have information on are:Kubin/Kuchera of McPherson, Kansas and Blue River Wisconsin(see below); Clark/Hugunin of Kansas; Wright of Minnesota, going back to Mark Wright, Sr of Yorkshire, England; and Pinke of Minnesota (going back to August Pinke of Plotzig, Germany). Most of this information was handed down to me; I did not verify it by independent research.

KUBIN AND KUCHERA (aka Kucera and Goodsheller)Family Tree:I have the "Family Tree of Kubins" prepared by Laurine Kubin Yowell in the 1980's, with narrative from Elsie Kubin Nelson in 1935, all entered into the Family Tree Maker software. This branch of the Kubins descends from Mathias Kubin in McPherson, Kansas, but there is additional ancestor info going back to Bohemia. There are several hundred descendents of Kubins and Kucheras, originally from Bohemia, as well as photos and a map of the Kansas homestead. Kubin relatives are said to have settled in Blue River, Wisconsin. Other regions cited for Kuchera and Strnad are Munden, KS and Republic County. I have been adding information to Laurine's tree as I find it. Check the photos, descendent tree, and the narrative document I have here.
The relationship between the Kubins and Kucheras is interesting.Four of Mathias Kubin's children married Kucheras, three of which are definitely known to be siblings.Another of the Mathias children married a Strnad, and a sibling of that Strnad married one of the Kuchera sisters. They wove a tangled web indeed!
I would like to thank Laurine for all her work compiling this tree.I can't imagine how much time she must have spent!
Kuchera descendent information is shown on the Joseph Bermann descendent tree below.Joseph Bermann was an ancestor to the Kuchera family that came to Kansas and mixed with the Kubins and Strnads.
Please feel free to contact me for an electronic copy of this tree or to provide updates. The email address listed is checked infrequently. For more rapid response please see my personal homepage at www.borntoexplore.org/home.
