|My research revolves around the Flynn, Kinnane, Leary and Hanrahan family in Ireland and their decendants of Fitchburg, Lawrence and Worcester Massachusetts. It appears, to date that our family is originally from the Parish of Buttevant in County Cork and moved to Ballylanders and Galbally in County Limerick in the early 1800's. At least some members of the family left County Limerick for the US between 1840 and 1882, landing in NYC then moving northward to Central Massachusetts.|
I am hoping for encouraging assistance from some of my distant, and not so distant relatives and friends.
I am particularly interested in locating our Irish relatives who may still be living in Cork and Limerick. There is evidence that there may also be some family members in County Tipperary as the source of our Flynn heritage is very near the area where these 3 counties meet. This area is full of history and I encourage all people to learn of this history. The more I learn, the more I understand some of the situations I am discovering about my family's past.
Please contact me if you can help with any details that are missing or corrections that must be made, based on actual facts. I also hope that if this site leads you to your family, that you will let me know. That is what it was placed here for.
All help is appreciated.
