Hi, I've been compiling information on my rather large family for several years now.If you are a Gelbman, Rosenthal, Bomwell, Newman, Goldstein, Geldon, Yonyashefski, or are married into one of these families, you might be related. My great-grandfather, Adolph Gelbman immigrated from Miszloka, Hungary about 1885.My great grandmother, Lena Rosenthal, immmigrated from Szentes, Austria-Hungary about 1887. My great-grandfather, Abraham Bomwell, and his wife, Malka (Mollie) Newman, came from Warsaw, Poland about 1880.My great-grandfather, Jacob Goldstein (family name changed in the US to Geldon), his wife, and children immigrated from Russia about 1895.My great-grandfather, Laza Yonyashefski (later known as Larry Yanoff) and his wife also came from Russia in the 1890's. Most of the family settled in Yonkers and New York City, NY, Bridgeport, Conn., Philadelphia, PA, and Newark, NJ.Any help pinning down missing relatives, dates of birth or death, maiden names of spouses, interesting facts, and photos would be appreciated.I would be happy to share information.
