I've been doing research for more than 25 years and I find new things just when I seem to have come to a dead-end.In the last few years, I have "found" several new cousins.I am adding new branches all the time. The McRIGHT's are a very diverse family with multiple marriages and families. They settled in various counties in east Texas around 1859; Wood, Rains, Titus, VanZandt counties primarily.I am attempting to tie 3 brothers James Lewellyn, Harve Andrew and Alex E. to their parents. It is possible that there are other siblings and I am looking for them, as well.Various branches used either spelling of the name.If you are researching the lines of any person named McRIGHT/McWRIGHT, please contact me. The Benjamin SIMMONS branch of my family came to Texas in 1835 from Tennessee through Missouri, while Texas was a young Republic. They settled in what was to become Delta county, in east Texas. They were such a large family they were given 2 First Class Land Grants, amounting to several hundred acres. They donated land for the founding of the communities of Ben Franklin and Simmons Academy. I am also looking for information on the family lines of Dr. Wade D.COLLINS, Forrest & Madell WALKER SIMMONS, John & Lillie REED SIMMONS, Ben and Rosa MILLER SIMMONS, David Benton & Josie HERRING REED and Giles P. R. VANZANDT.The VANZANDTS were in Missouri and Oklahoma. The other names were all from Texas. If you have any information, I would like to hear from you.I will also share any information I have.
