Extensive research has been done on the HOLL FAMILY (including the SCHRANTZ, MURRAY and DAILY families) in a family book by DAVID L. HOLL IN 1988.David got much information from Henry C. Holl's book, 1891 "The Holl-Schrantz Family" and an update created by Carl W. Holl, tracing the work forward on Manasseh Holl and Sarah Reemsnyder dscendants. Since David's death, no one has updated the book. The information contained herein will be the first attempt to do so and share it with others on-line. Anyone wishing me to do a look-up from David's book can contact the pagemaker, as it may not all be available here at Family Tree Maker.
The book published herein under "Text" in the Table of Contents deals with the history of the DANBY, WESTWOOD, BAYLISS and HURST families who arrived in America in 1849.The Pagemaker has recently obtained a copy of "The Westwood Family History, Vol. 1" by Richard E. Westwood and lookups can also be requested from it.Recent contact has been made with living descendants of the original 8 orphaned Westwood children and many have promised to provide the Pagemaker with more information.Additionally, "Growing Up in Moab"(UT)by Richard Westwood has been obtained and also "Yesteryear's Child"(CA)by Phoebe Louise Westwood also deals with this same Westwood family. It is estimated that there are over 3,000 Westwood descendants now living in the United States. The book contained at this site will continue to be a "work in progress" as new information is obtained.Rev. 3/7/99 including more HOLL info.
LOOK INTO A NAME.
WHAT DO YOU SEE?
LOOK DEEPER, SEE THE PEOPLE.
WHO LIVED THE NAME.
NOT LETTERS BUT FLESH AND BLOOD.
FLESH OF OUR FLESH.
BLOOD OF OUR BLOOD.
FAITH OF OUR FAITH.
