1. Forest/Forrest GREEN (my G-G-G-Grandfather), b: probably during 1750's-1760's in VA (?). d: Date is unknown. Probable location is GA. His wife's name and location of marriage is not known at this time. He served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in Capt. Robert Powell's Co., 3rd VA Regt. commanded successively by Col. Thomas Marshall and Lt. Col. William Heth, from Feb. 1777 to Feb. 1778 - discharged on Feb. 14th at Valley Forge. Wounded at Bethlehem [There were two Continental Army hospitals at Bethlehem, PA.]. I have a copy of his Muster Roll and Pay Records from NARA Microfilm. Any siblings he may have had are unknown. Only child known to me is Forrest, Jr(?) shown with him in "Index To The 1809 Tax Digest, Jackson County, Georgia. P. 77." There may have been have been other children.
2. Forrest GREEN (Jr.) (my G-G-Grandfather), b: 1792 supposedly in Jasper Co., GA [This county was first formed as Randolph in 1810 and renamed to Jasper in 1812. Other counties (Hancock, Greene, Washington and ceded Indian lands) preceeded these but encompassed the same, and a greater, area]. Place and year of birth could also have been Virginia. Death or a divorce (neither has been proven) occured Bef. 27 February 1827 in GA or AL the date his wife/widow married James A. Huckaby in Bibb Co., AL [Bibb County Marriage Records]. m: 16 January 1812 in Jasper Co., GA to Elizabeth CLOWER (Jasper County Marriage Records), b: 16 July 1792 in PA. d: Abt. 1855 in AL. Forrest enlisted as a Private in the 2nd Regt., Georgia Drafted Militia, in Capt. Epum Boon's Co., 3 August 1813. War of 1812. Discharged 9 March 1814. Their known children: Andrew Shuler, Daniel Marion, Lewis Speers, possibly a daughter, Clarusy or Clarissa(?).
3. Andrew Shuler GREEN (my G-Grandfather) b: 9 October 1812 in Jasper Co., GA. d: 22 December 1891 on family farm near Orwood PO, Lafayette Co., MS.
1st Wife: Emelia RIGGINS. b: Abt. 1812 in Bibb Co., AL.
d: 1840-1846 in AL. m: 15 September 1834 in Bibb Co., AL. Known children: John Jackson, William L., and Mary Elizabeth.
2nd Wife: Nancy M. DUNLAP (my G-Grandmother). b: 13 May 1823 in AL. d: 1 February 1892 on family farm near Orwood PO, Lafayette Co., MS. m: 22 February 1846 in Shelby Co., AL. Known children:
Hester Ann, James M., David Alexander, Daniel Morgan, William A., Samuel Thomas, Lewis Simpson, Joshua [Way?], John Phillip, Missouri A. (Middle name I have seen was Alabama - unproven)
4. Daniel Morgan GREEN (my Grandfather). b: 19 March 1852 in Shelby Co., AL. d: 8 May 1920 in Monticello, Drew Co., AR.
1st Wife: Believed to be Mrs. Percie PETERS. b: Abt. 1849 in Smith Co.(?), Texas. d: 25 October 1884 in Smith Co., Texas. Children:Emma Gertrude b: Dec. 1877 in Smith Co.,TX and Morgan P., b: April 1880 in Smith Co., TX.
2nd Wife: Mary Josephine MEANS (my Grandmother). b: 28 March 1856 in Lafayette Co., MS or Mecklenburg Co., NC (Neither proven). d: 16 August 1944, in Monticello, Drew Co., AR. m: 20 March 1881 in Lafayette Co., MS. Known Children: Minneola Fay, Clara Frank (aka "Frankie"), Charles Homer, Marion Shive, William Harper, Andrew Howard, and Grady Joel [my Father].
