| We are researching the descendents and predecessors of Catherine and Thomas Young (Yonge) who came from Ireland in the early 1800's and Samuel and Elizabeth Maneer who came from Cornwall, England in 1832. These families settled first in Whitchurch, Ontario annd Little York, Ontario.Then some members of both families moved to Innisfil Township, Ontario. Others went to the United States.We have just begun our research, but would be glad to share with anyone who is interested.According to oral and family tradition Samuel Maneer's son Samuel Maneer II went toBuffalo, Cleveland and Louisville, Kentucky to learn the blacksmith trade which he later practised when he returned home to Innisfil.
