Calling all Griffins and Stewarts from Prince Edward Island!I am researching the family trees of Percy Alvira Griffin (b.June 30,1918, Mt. Stewart, P.E.I., Canada) and Evelyn Grace Stewart, ( b.Feb 4, 1920, Mt. Stewart, P.E.I., Canada) I am particularly interested in Percy's Great Grandfather (Morris or Morrice Griffin, who emigratedfrom Ireland to Prince Edward Island with his two brothers, Tom and John. They sailed aboard the "Glen Martin" , probably around 1850, arriving at Cape Wolf, Prince Edward Island. Morris married an Annie DALTON and one of their children, Archibald, married Annie Gorman of Mt. Steward Prince Edward Island. Percy was one of their eight children. I would be interested in hearing from relatives of the Griffins as they would likely would be my cousins. I left Prince Edward Island as an infant and know very few of my relatives. Perhaps there are descendants of Tom or John. Percy's father was Archibald Griffin, who was born in Cape Wolf, P.E.I in 1868.I am also researching Evelyn Grace Stewart's parents, grandparents, etc. Evelyn is theGrand daughter of Michael Danial Stewart, born in 1853 (location unknown) who married Mary Curran in Peakes Station P.E.I. Their son,Michael Francis Stewart, married Clara Angeline Fogarty (b.March 21, 1897). Their only daughter was Evelyn Grace Stewart.If you recognize any of these individuals, I'd love to hear from you.I also know that I have dozens, perhaps hundreds of cousins on the Griffin side of the family. Percy Alvira Griffin was one of eight children (Johnny, Albert, Frank, William, Rita, Pius, and Morris) I know they all had children, but I have very few other details.
