My name is John Hempel. I am searching for my ancestors, but I have reached a dead end. I have only been able to go back four generations. My family originally came from Germany around the turn of the century. They settled mostly in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
My Grandparents on my fathers side were Hempel - Grandfather, and Ahlvers - Grandmother.
My mother's side were Smith - Grandfather, and Gentry - Grandmother
