User Home Pages: The Henkin & Rincover home page
We are researchingthe families of Henkin and Rincover. We have several missing branches we'd like to find. The Henkins (or Genkins) were in Mogilev, Belarus in the mid-1800's.We are tracing the families of six siblings born around 1855-1880 - Shaya, Basha, Nachum/Nathan, Nechemya, Zevgenya, and Brina. We have learned that the families of sons Shaya and Nachum, and daughter Basha immigrated to the United States, with intermediate stops in Toronto and Buenos Aires. At the time of immigration, around 1905-1915, the other sisters Brina, Nechamya, and Zevgenya, stayed in Belarus. We have little further information on their families and would like to find them. The Rincovers (original surname "Harincover") were in Galati, Roumania inthe 1880's.We are particularly tracing the family of Joseph Rincover, but are very interested in hearing from other people linked to "Rincover", due to its rareity. Joseph and his family emigrated to England around 1900-1902.Soon after (1902-2904) most of his family immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Apparently, Joseph's oldest son Hirsh stayed in London. We believe he or his descendants later moved to Israel, and may still be there. We would like to make contact with Hirsh's descendants.
