|Check out Nicolas Gonzalez who was married to Perfecta Lara. The mother of Perfecta is the sister of my great great grandfather. His name is Pablo Ruis Rey.The daughter of Pablo, Gertrudis, is my great grandmother who married Santos Roman. It was around 1860 that the Ruis Rey family stopped using both names and just went by Rey.If you noticed, some of your family members were born in the "Rancho de los Reyes".This is the Rancho of the Rey Family in Santa Rosalia Camargo.I am happy this information helps you understand more about your family history.|
Also, the Ruis Rey Family came from Cd. Jimenez, in fact, they were amoug the founders of that city. They go back to 1630 in that area, when the family bought all that land, about 17000 acres, and settled in it.I have that story written down so where and as soon as I find it I will send it to you.Later around 1790's when Santa Rosalia de Camargo was founded, they were also amoug the first families there. They settled in the north east portion of Camargo where Rancho de los Reyes still stands. If you check out my paf file, you can trace all the Ruis Rey Family and tie that in with the Gonzalez Family and on to the Hernandez Family.
The Ruis Rey Family and the Lara Family were huge families. In fact, Pablo Ruis Rey, my gggrandfather, had 26 children with two wives. Some of his children married into the Lara Family as well.See Victoria Rey married to Encarnacion Lara whose father was Macedonio Lara whose mother was Maria Vicenta Gonzalez.Back to the Gonzalez again!Hope this helps you a lot.
