February 18, 1918)FERDINAND ALBERT HEYN (son of FREDERICH WILHELM HEYN and ANNA CHRISTINA SCHMIDT) was born April 29, 1847 in GEMBITZ-HAULAND, POSEN PRUSSIA GERMANY, and died February 18, 1918 in ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA.He married EMILIE AUGUSTE PRIEBE on December 28, 1873 in PRINCETON, WISCONSIN, daughter of AUGUST PRIEBE and ANNA ROSINA PONTO.

Albert Heyn emigrated to America in 1867.There is an Albert Heyn age 24 who came to America
aboard the ship Reichstag from Hamburg on August 31, 1867.Even though Albert was really
only 20 years old the evidence suggests that this is him.He emigrated with an August F. Wanke
age 28, Minnie Wanke age 20, Louise Wegener age 14, and a man named Freiderich age 26
whose last name is unreadable.On the Hamburg ship passenger list this whole group is
listed as coming from Polajewo-Hauland.This is the next farming village east of Gembitz-Hauland.
No information can be found about August or Minnie Wanke.
However there is information available about Louise Wegener.She was born November 6, 1853
in Gembitz-Hauland to Mr. & Mrs. Freiderich Wegener.By 1867 she was an orphan and she
emigrated to America to live with her aunt Mrs. Freiderich Hoffmann who lived north of Potsdam.
On December 22, 1872 Louse married Julius Rosolack.She died December 15, 1917 and is
buried in the Elgin, Cemetery.
Albert's obituary says he stayed in New York for one year before moving to Minnesota.In
the 1870 census there is 23 year old Albert Heyen that was working for George Stoppel in
