I have been at this for several years and have now reached the exalted status of advanced beginner! I was born and raised in Georgia. My parents are Tom Watson McCullough and Hettie G. Campbell McCullough. On my father's side the names that I am researching are McCullough, Quigley, Herrin, Slaughter, and Bailey. These folks are mostly in Coweta and neighboring Counties in GA as early as the 1830's.James Patrick Quigley of Troop County was born in Ireland and came to America during the 1820's when he was in his early teens. On my mothers side the names are Campbell, Stone, Hammond, Dailey, Doggett, Riley, Mauldin,Langston, Green, Chandler, Turner, Harris, Shannon, Ferguson, Gober, Dodd and Kennedy. These folks are mostly in Campbell and neighboring counties. Some of them were in North Georgia for a while before moving south. When I first started this I did not understand the importance of creating a bibliography to keep track of my sources, so unfortunately that is one area that I have got to go back and fill in the gaps.Check out my tree for more specific information about these folks. If you want more details about any of these folks, please let me know.
