Welcome to my website. This is a genealogy site. Please be patient with me since several of these pages are under construction. Some pages will always be - due to updates...
When you visit my site, I hope you stumble across a "gold mine".If you have corrections for me... please email me at anytime.Come back as often as you like and I do have pictures to share if you request. Thanks and Enjoy!
DON'T FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN ALL THE WAY. THAT IS HOW YOU GET TO MY SURNAME LISTS.
** Special note from Author **
I (like so many other genealogists), wanted to keep up with the times and make it where my info is available to other researchers out there.I have always believed in sharing, and there are alot of good sites out on the web to submit to but... I want my credit for my time and research recognized!
I know this is an never-ending research and so I am not pleased with those who think having the biggest list is wonderful.Yes, it can be if your resources are listed and reliable. In other words... take the time to go over someone else's research.Don't just assume they are 100% correct and all their information is concrete.Besides, do you want to just copy down the so-called answers?Or wasn't the reason that got you "hooked" on researching was because you found the answers yourself?
Internet access is such a big part of our lives now.... and you can find a lot of things by "surfing".I hope this web page will not only give answers for some, but encourage others to do the same with their genealogy information.
I have noticed that there are tons of people picking up this "hobby" and it is wonderful! However, don't take it tooooooo far.I mean... you should enjoy what you find out and not act like a know it all.Just because I know info on my 4th great grandfather does not give me the right to go on and on to the point of lecturing to someone.I get highly upset with those who go on about their facts as if they "lived" in 1828, about (Whatever)....All I am saying is... it's exciting and fun but maybe not to everyone.
I believe that all genealogy projects are NOT perfect.I have tons of surnames. But I believe that not everything is correct.Cause I did NOT grow up with my 4th cousin twice removed to know his/her life.So I have a bare skeleton for him/her to HELP me out with the info. This is how you should address your research.Too many people I have talked to recently get off on how they research and how wrong I am.I never said that what I have is concrete.I know that it is factual or I WOULD HAVE NOT PUT IT IN MY RESEARCH.That is my #1 rule.... However, what I may find is not exact with someone else's facts because of how we transcribe things. This is a working process for anyone who challenges this hobby.
And yes, I have over 14,000 names which has taken me 17 years now to collect. So I have NOT acquired them in a hurry but...even though I am distantly related doesn't mean anything!Family IS family and BLOOD was passed on somewhere down the road!Just remember that.I am sure in another 15 years... I still will come across something that I totally missed now. However, it may be a bad thing... but genealogists tend to be "pack rats".It has saved me in lots of ways though.Examples are Newspaper Businesses that have gone out of business, things I have found in books (TELEPHONE BOOKS especially), etc.The info might not make sense to you now but when all the pieces come together... WOW!!!
One last thing, GOOD LUCK out there and I hope that your family booklets will become your dream come true!
