I am researching Dennard (a.k.a. Denard) HOOD b. between 1819 and 1825 in Jefferson Co. Alabama.Dennard Hood first appears as a Union soilder for AL during the Civil War from Jefferson Co. AL.In 1860 Dennard (40) is located in the Franklin Co., AL census married to Martha ? (36); and their children are listed as John (15), Riley (13), Nancy (10), Elizabeth (8), and William (2months).
In 1870 Lawrence Co., AL Census shows Dennard and Martha Hood with their children; Mary A. (19), Chastooth (18), and William (12).
In 1880 Dennard and Martha Hood moved to Lee Co., Arkansas along with David Riley Hood and his wife Margaret Ann Croney.
The children of David Riley and Margaret Hood are;John Erwin b. 1871, James b. 1876 and Maggie b. 1880.
In 1886 David Riley Hood married a Louisa Case b. 1869 in Lee Co., AR.Their children are;Elsie Lelia Hood b. 1889 and Evie Hood b. ?
