|I, Sharon, am searching death, birth, and marriage, and land records, of my ancestors.Unfortunately, on the Horsey side, my father, I don't have much to go on.He died when I was a child and my mother, a Woodall, is now 91 years old and doesn't remember that side of my family at all. This also goes for the Woodall side.I believe most of my family was from the Little Rock, Paron, and Roland, areas of Arkansas.I have heard when I was a child that some were from OK, MS, MO, AZ, also that we have much Indian blood; Cherokee and Chocktaw.I remember living on an Reservation outside of Parker, AZ as a child.I recently found that a nephew of my father's, Mack Alvis Horsey, from AR, had passed away in 3-2000. My father's name was Lex Horsey; his father's name was Smith Horsey. My mother's birth name is Sarah Jane Woodall, DOB: 10-05-1909.Her mother's birth name was Mary McClure, DOB: 03-03-1870?Her father was David McClure, and her mother was Sarah Jane Partain or Abigail Partain. If anyone out there has information, please email me, write me, or call me. |
Thank You.I would also like to prove our Indian heritage. As on the birth certificates, everyone is listed as "white".I guess in those days, you were either white, or black. How far we have come!!I will share any information I have.
PS:December 14, 2002.My mother, Sarah Jane Horsey, passed away on October 3, 2002.She was either 2 days away from being 93 or 103 as she insisted she was 10 years older than her birth certificate said she was. On April 12, 2003 my oldest son Todd passed away at home after being ill all his life.He was 40 years old on November 16 2002.I am so happy that I gave him a surpprise 40th birthday party as that was his last birthday. Twelve days before he passed away, his grand daughter was born.We named her Janice-Tailene Kenni-Rose Remes-Ullrich.She is so beautiful with big blue eyes and blondish red curly hair. She crawled off my bed at one week old!!A double bed at that. We call her Kenni-Rose. I will be updating my family tree with some information that I have received recently in the next few weeks. That tree is online and through Family Tree Maker.com
or Family Tree Maker.genealogy.com.There is some speculation regarding my grandfather's name.He was always known to me as Emmanuel Woodall. Now, I have found references to him in several places asE. M. Woodall, and E., Manuel Dean Woodall.
Manuel D. Woodall, Earl of Ireland. So I do not know yet, his real name or if he is titled.I did find that his parents immigrated here from Ireland, where both were born, and possibly titled.I will update as soon as I find more information.
