|I know over 800 grandparents of one degree or another, but one of my shortest lines of descent is that of my own last name--HUDSON.My great-great-great-great grandfather died a HUDSON, but was born a HUTCHISON (Joseph, b. cir. 1756 in Loudon Cty., VA, died in Hardin Cty., KY in 1844).Details of his ancestry are what I seek the most.|
Another, even shorter line is that of my mothers family--BROWN.We have traced back to a John Brown of Washington Cty., PA born around 1800, but can find no more of him (with a name like that, what can you expect??)
The bulk of the names in my family tree come from the ancestry of one William CLOPTON of New Kent Cty, VA.A book compiled with a wealth of detail back in the late 1930's was the "Mother Lode" for this family.
I hope that my tree can help you.Maybe yours can help me...
