Fletcher T. Davis, the ninth child of Archibald Davis and Eliza Jane Wright, was born 1888 and died November 17, 1965, and is buried in Shady Grove Cemetery. Fletcher was an old-time Baptist Minister.He was married between 1901 and 1920 in Polk Co., Missouri, to Elizabeth Virginia (called Jennie) Young.

Rev. Fletch Davis took his wife to Springfield on the 23rd for medical treatment.Mrs. Owen accompanlied them and visited her son (Leonard) and wife.Leonard has been suffering with tonsilitis and a severe cold for several weeks.

Bolivar - THE REV. FLETCHER T. DAVIS, 77, Aldrich, died about 6 a.m. today in the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Bolivar after an apparent heart attack.He had been in failing health for some time.Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Polk County and had been a Baptist Minister more than 40 years, serving numerous churches.Survivors include his wife, Eunice;1 daughter, Mrs. Aliene O'Neil, Doniphan; 2 step-daughters, Mrs. Carl Ryuson, Fillmore, California, and Mrs. Peter Zucco, Santa Barbara, California, 3 step- sons, Dale Matthews, State of Alaska, Richard Hood, State of California and Billy Hood, State of Georgia, a sister, Mrs. Mint Killingsworth, Redlands, California, four grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 13 spep-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.Pitts of Bolivar will announce arrangements.
