|For many years I, like most people, listened with the utmost boredom to the stories by my parents and relations about the exploits of some Uncle or Aunty or other distant family member that more often than not, I had never even heard of.|
Now, far from finding it boring I am trying to build a family tree so we can look back and see where we came from.
Over the years I have been compiling a family tree, and realise that often the greatest resources, our parents, have gone and with them so much family history. After my mother died I found newspaper clippings she had saved. These ranged from death & birth notices to newspaper reports of weddings, engagements etc.
These clippings rekindled my interest in finding the past.
